The Linnean

The Linnean is the Society's biannual newsletter

As well as updating our members with the latest news from the Society, The Linnean provides short articles on the history of science, with particular links to our Fellows and our collections. For more information on publishing in The Linnean please contact the Editor or download our Guidelines for Contributors. Wherever possible we also try to include short book reviews; if you are interested in becoming a reviewer please download our Guidelines for Book Reviewers.

Papers on contemporary scientific research are published separately in our journals through our publisher, Oxford University Press.

Special Issues

A number of Special Issues of The Linnean have been published, covering topics like the Linnaean Collections, and the work and lives of Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace. Special Issues are available as downloadable PDFs.
