Propose an Event

The Linnean Society of London holds an extensive programme of events which consists of Lunchtime Lectures, Evening Meetings, Day Meetings and Partner Events as well as special one off events. It is also possible to hire our rooms.

The Linnean Society aims to support events in its fields of interest, which cover not only biology itself but also its interactions with other sciences, and the art and history of the natural sciences. To ensure a balanced programme each year, evening lectures and conferences must be approved by the Programmes Committee, acting for the Council.

We welcome ideas and proposals for future events. If you would like to propose and event, please fill out appropriate form. Guidelines for proposers can be found here. We request that you answer as many of the questions in the proposal form as possible so that the Programme Committee is able to properly review your idea.

The Programme Committee meets three times a year (February, June and November) and during these meetings all proposals are reviewed. Please be advised that the Committee receives many proposals each year and in order to provide a diverse and balanced programme, which meets our strategic plan, we will be unable to fit every proposal into our annual programme.
