Membership Renewals
The Standard Membership fee is £65 per annum. The Society's three subscription journals - Biological, Botanical and Zoological - are available in electronic format for an additional £20 per annum.
Annual Contributions should be paid on or before 24 May each year (the probable date of Carl Linnaeus’ birth).
Fellows from certain countries may qualify for a reduced rate. See our full list of reduced rate countries (PDF 60.5KB).

Financial support from the Goodenough Fund
Set up in 1919, the purpose of the Goodenough Fund is to enable the Society to pay the annual membership fee of one or more Fellows who are deserving of assistance due to financial hardship or challenging circumstances.
Eligibility
- The award is open for applications year-round to fund one year’s annual membership fee.
- Applicants must be a Fellows, with a minimum of 12 months continuous membership.
- As the Fund is intended for short-term support, a Fellow may only receive this award a maximum of five times. A new application must be submitted each time the Fund is required.
Application Guidelines
- If you wish to apply for this award, please indicate in writing, by email to membership@linnean.org or by post for the attention of the Membership Department, that you are experiencing financial hardship or challenging circumstances which mean you are not able to pay the fees from your own funds.
- The number of awards will vary annually.
- Successful applicants will have their annual fees paid for from the Goodenough Fund for one year.
- The details of the distributions are not published publicly.
