This workshop is part of a series of events leading up to the Linnean Society Student Conference 2020. It is suitable for postgraduate students looking to improve their public engagement skills.
There will be a maximum of eight participants with one facilitator so that individual attention can be given.

Research produces a ton of data that can be represented in a countless different ways. In this session, Stephen Hall will explain the different elements of graphic design that can be used to best represent your data sets - finding the crux of the story you want to tell and illustrating this message in the best way.
This session will not involve using an digital equipment or software but rather explore ideas and give insight into how to use graphic design to your best advantage.
The workshop will be led by artist and graphic designer, Stephen Hall.
This workshop costs £5 and is open to all. Please get in touch if this fee is a barrier to attendance and we will waive the fee.

- All materials will be provided.
- The session will take place in our Discovery Room which is home to some of the Society's unique historical collections.
