TOUR 13:00–14:00 Tuesday 21 November 2017

As part of Explore your Archive 2017, the Linnean Society staff will give a special tour of the collections on Tuesday 21 November. This guided tour will provide an introduction to the history of the Society and its collections.

It will include a visit to the bomb-proof strongroom to discover the books, manuscripts and specimens of Carl Linnaeus, one of the founding fathers of modern biology, as well as the exploration of the Linnean Society's rich archives, with a special display in the reading room of the Library.


  • This event is free and open to all.
  • Tours last approximately 1 hour. 
  • Due to limited space in the strongroom, the tour is limited to 20 people.
  • Registration for the tours is essential, please find the registration form below.
