Emotional Drawing

This two-day workshop explores a spectrum of drawing skills - from the practical understanding of colour to the value of experimentation and drawing beyond the confines of traditional representation and materials. The two workshops are designed to naturally compliment each other in extending your overall drawing range and ability.

Day 1 explores how colour can better understood and employed to give your drawing impact. Colour will be considered from a scientific, emotional and practical perspective. Work with a range of materials (both dry and wet) and techniques, which will extend your ability to draw more confidently with colour.

Day 2 uses methods to open up, extend and challenge your own ideas about the act of drawing. A series of tasks and exercises will be complimented by feedback and discussion.

This course is part of a series and can be done individually or in combination with the other workshops.

This class costs £90 and is open to all.

  • Registration is essential to secure your place.
  • Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Doors will open at 9.45 and the workshops will begin at 10.00.
