Participants will learn about cryptogams — plants and fungi that reproduce using spores rather than seeds - and study unusual traits of this fascinating group.
We will then use the age-old textile art of felt-making to create a beautiful wool cloth illustrating their unique properties.
This workshop costs £10 and is open to young people aged 11-14.
- Registration is essential to secure your place.
- Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Doors will open at 10.45 and the workshops will begin at 11.00.
- A responsible adult must fill out an information form via email after booking, and remain in the immediate area and contactable throughout the session.
- If the participant has any special requirements, please make us aware so that we can support them appropriately.
PSSST! Did you know the Discovery Workshop programme is non-for-profit, with any leftover income cycling back to subsidise places for those who are unable to pay?
