BIOMEDIA WORKSHOP 11:00 - 13:30, Thursday 29th August 2019
This workshop is strictly for young people aged 11-14. There will be a maximum of ten participants with two tutors so that individual attention can be given. All materials will be provided.

Participants will investigate how varieties of animal anatomies are adapted to each species’ needs and environment.
Participants will then create an illustration demonstrating this adaptation, choosing from cut-out, transparency, or pop-up techniques.
This workshop costs £10 and is open to young people aged 11-14.
- Registration is essential to secure your place.
- Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Doors will open at 10.45 and the workshops will begin at 11.00.
- A responsible adult must fill out an information form via email after booking, and remain in the immediate area and contactable throughout the session.
- If the participant has any special requirements, please make us aware so that we can support them appropriately.

Now in its fifth year, the Biomedia Meltdown Competition runs free cutting edge science-art workshops to bring natural history to life through cross-curricular learning, using the latest technology alongside traditional and contemporary art media and techniques. The resulting work is entered into our annual competition, with finalists' work displayed in our prestigious spring exhibition, and winners taking home some amazing prizes!
