SPECIAL MEETING 15:30–19:00 Friday 22 May 2020
**Notice regarding the 2020 Anniversary Meeting of The Linnean Society of London**
The Anniversary Meeting comprises two halves, the first part being the Society’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), and the second part being the celebration of our medal and award winners, together with the Presidential Address.
We intend to conduct the AGM virtually on 22nd May, and to postpone the other elements of the Anniversary Meeting to early December.
We encourage all those of you who have not logged onto the Fellows area of the website, to do so soonest, so that you are prepared in advance for accessing the online voting system when it is put in place. Please let us know immediately if you have any problems.
This event is the Linnean Society of London’s Annual General Meeting. The event begins with the AGM and will be followed by the presentation of annual medals—recognising outstanding contributions to the Natural Sciences—and the Presidential Address from Dr Sandy Knapp PLS.
Following the Anniversary Meeting, Fellows are invited to accompany the President, Officers and Medal winners to dinner which will be held at The Cavendish London Hotel, Jermyn Street, London. Please note that there will be a Set Menu for the dinner.
- This meeting is for Fellows only. Guests may attend the Anniversary Meeting only on the invitation of the President’ Byelaw 9.10. If you would like to bring a guest please contact the Executive Secretary.
- Registration for the Anniversary meeting is essential.
- Registration for the Anniversary meeting dinner includes registration to the Meeting.
- Registration for the Anniversary Meeting will open shortly.
Please note: The Society’s Meeting Room has limited capacity for health & safety reasons, and we must therefore limit the number of registrations at meetings. We will try to ensure that any FLS who wish to come to the AGM (and vote) will be able to do so, but we cannot guarantee a seat for you at the awards ceremony and Presidential address that follows unless you have a valid registration ticket.
