Linnean led workshops delivered for free at your school

This year the Linnean staff led BioMedia Meltdown interactive workshops will explore concepts from the curriculum topics Relationships in Ecosystems and Genetics and Evolution. Previously students have enjoyed creating stop motion animation to develop an understanding of predator-prey relationships in food webs and have explored the idea of maladaptation by sculpting a sabre-tooth tiger skull!

Young people will enjoy one of two fun-filled sessions. Take social media by storm designing and sharing an infographic on biodiversity, or channel your inner Banksy by creating street art that shows the importance of pollinators. All workshop creations can be entered into the competition.

Workshops will be delivered at your school and will last around 1 hour (although we are happy to adapt the length of the workshop to suit your timetable). They can be delivered during the school day or could also be delivered as an activity for a STEM/Art & Design club after school. Workshops are available exclusively to schools and other youth groups in the London boroughs of: Barnet, Brent, Camden, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Kensington & Chelsea and the Cities of London and Westminster at this time and will help inspire you to create some winning entries.

Workshops are free and will be available from September 2017.
