The Linnean Volume 25 Number 1 (January 2009) and The Linnean Special Issue No. 9 are now available in print and online.


As well as recent Society news and notes from the Library, this issue of The Linnean contains two articles: 'Tree and Leaf: a different angle' on the work of the Rev. James M'Cosh in the 19th century, and 'Two naturalists in Africa: Sheffield Airey Neave and James Jenkins Simpson'.

   

The Linnean Special Issue no. 9, Survival of the Fittest, edited by Brian Gardiner, Richard Milner and Mary Morris, celebrates the 150th anniversary of the Darwin-Wallace theory of evolution.
