Education Resources

Welcome to our education page!

We hope you enjoy exploring our activities and resources.

The Linnean Society of London is the home of Carl Linnaeus in the UK. To learn more about him, his science and our collections, visit the 'Who was Linnaeus?' section. Explore the Kids’ Zone for some interesting activities, fact sheets or to ask Carl Linnaeus a question about his life or natural history. Find out about other famous scientists who were once members of the Society, like Charles Darwin.

Teachers, parents and students can click on the other categories to view our targeted education resources, linked to the National Curriculum. These are focused on four areas that are particularly relevant to the Linnean Society of London: Taxonomy, Classification, Whole Organism Biology and Biodiversity/Conservation.

Don't forget to look through sections other than that of your main Key Stage group - you may find other ideas and events that you are be able to adapt to your audience! If there is anything you would like to see added to our site, or anything you would like our assistance with, please contact us.
